~Having Weight Problems?~
To think that by this age, I wouldn’t be bothered or even be too worried about my weight. It’s like a yo-yo u know. One day your fat and the next you somehow lost that 2 inches? Like…how the hell did that happen?
Since I came back from Dublin, I realized that food is obviously different back home (Duh!). You have your late supper with friends at Suzi’s Corner after a night of clubbing on Thursdays or Saturdays. Sometimes just chilling out at Bangsar, meeting up with old friends whom you haven’t seen for ages…..lepaking at the usual kedai mamak. Eating those yummy prata, maggie goreng, naan with tandoori chicken, steaks or chicken chop, buttered prawn at Hartamas (mouth is drooling right about now). Sigh…all the so called good places to chill with cheap yummy food are just plain bad habits for those who need to watch their diet (which I think it’s actually Die with a T).
Anyways, was so happy when I landed in Malaysia exactly one year and one month ago…thinking of all the places I get to eat, without worrying about the Halal and Non-halal places (coz as you know…it’s freaking Malaysia) I jumped to the 1st place which has SATAY! That…my dear friends, was the beginning of my long hard work slimming in Dublin, gone to waste. After so hard going to the gym almost everyday (working there full-time actually) and also watching what I eat (coz I cook for myself and Farid everyday), I see myself in the mirror now wishing I had not eat what I’ve eaten. Within the shortest time, I think I’ve gained back all the blardy fats that I’ve worked so hard for to lose.
It’s awful, really. Even worse when your friends say that you look the same :( how annoying is that? The only people that actually notices the difference is of course…my own parents, aunts and uncles in Singapore, and even my office colleagues notices my weight! Freaking crap! It’s also bad when your own boyfriend, whom you have not seen for the past 1 year, can actually tell that your hips are bigger now! I don’t blame him…coz it’s true! How embarrassing! Feel like hiding my head in the ground and not coming out till the nightmare is over.
Have started going to the gym again now. Joined in September 2006. Lost a few inches but not really pounds. Just nice enough to look good for Farid for Christmas in London, Rome and Dublin. Unfortunately, when I got back, I kinda gained the weight back. I guess I should blame the holiday season. How did I gain back? I ate freaking pizza almost everyday while I was in Rome. Just had to have ice-cream there as well (but only 1 cone though).
So now I’m back in Singapore. Met up with a new personal trainer at the gym. Had my 1st session with him. Had 1 before with a lady trainer. She was really bad. Looking at her, you would think twice if she’s really qualified. Someone as skinny as her, you’d think she’s anorexic or even bulimic. Felt cheated when she trained me. Felt no difference to my workout, and I didn’t even bother to follow her instructions. So I met someone else, which was better. The workout today was totally fat burning! Felt the pain and the burn at places I never knew I could feel that much strain. It was good. In fact….it was GREAT! Can’t wait for y next session with my trainer. I just hope I don’t faint…coz he’s really tough. A total drill sergeant.
Year 2007 challenge for me? Only one and only thing now. To lose the pounds and inches so that I’ll look and feel good about myself. Especially since this is an important year for me. Well, those who know me, you guys know what I mean, eh?
